Happy April everyone! We are starting off the month with some warm days but serious rain storms are headed our way on Wednesday. Fingers crossed there is no drama with these storms!

I hope everyone here has a beautiful spring month to enjoy too. And April showers bring May Flowers!

March went out like a gray lamb here but today the sun is shining and trees are blooming; white and purple blossoms, pear and plum I think. We're taking a short trip to Nevada to visit my daughter. Decided to go today to miss the snow and traffic. One of the advantages of being retired is you can go when it is convenient.

We had heavy rains and storms last night. Suppose to have them again through tomorrow starting this afternoon. It has been cloudy and sunny on and off this first day of April.

Happy birthday ladies!

We are having wind rain and hopefully no tornadoes this early morning. Apparently through tomorrow with snow forecast Thursday night. Maybe this is more of what Ohio is really like.

Happy birthday to all of our April Farmgirls!!
April is such a wonderful month. Trees start coming to life, the grass turns green, flowers start blooming. It snows, it rains, it's 80 degrees one day and 30 the next. This year we add an eclipse and an earthquake. It's such an uplifting month, I feel like my mood improves when I start to see things turning green.

It's strange; way back when I was living through it, I just thought it was normal. I never thought we were poor. It's only now I realize how poor we were. Anyway, April is one of my two favorite months, The weather, the flowers, and then Spring smell coming in through the open windows and doors. I want to bottle it and save it for winter.

I wish I could open the windows here. It has been raining with some being heavy downpours. Very tired of it and so are my sinuses

Never forget that the labor of our hands is a labor of love.

"One of the things that I find distressing about life today is that people don't really seem to enjoy their work anymore. When I was growing up on Waltons Mountain, my father and my grandfather loved their work and they instilled a respect for work in each of us.”

What a sweet picture, Denise. We are marching into summer very quickly now with temps heading up to the upper 80s today and tomorrow and 90 on Saturday. We had to break down and put the AC on again too. It looks like next week will be up in the 80s every day again too. At least the humidity is not too bad yet and the early mornings are quite nice.
