Please we need all of you to keep Tammy's 16 year old Daughter Shea, in your prayers, thoughts and heart. One of our own once again needs our support.
Shea was having chest pains and said she just did not feel right, they rushed her to the ER and did all the appropiate tests then transported her by Medivac Helicopter to Children's Hospital in Oakland California.
Shea has an infection/virus around the lining of her heart, her heart is fine and the infection/virus has not gotten into the heart or muscles, but they just do not know what is causing the infection/virus. Of course she is scared to death as is Tammy, Dave and her whole family.
I talked to Tammy just a few minutes ago and Shea is in intensive care resting comfortably with meds. They will watch her for 24 hours, regroup then decide the best course of action. It is hard to treat a infection/virus that they do not know the why and how of.
I will keep you posted as I find out moreinformation, Tammy will call me tomorrow with an update.
Thank you all for always being there for one another with prayers, thoughts, love and support it means so much.
Talk to you soon.
Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie

Tammy,
Shea, you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. Hoping they find a reason for the infection quickly and are able to get it under control even quicker.

UPDATE:

I have just got off the phone with Tammy, and she thanks all of you for your concern and prayers.
Tammy and Dave met with the Cardiac Team this morning and they say that Shea's enyme levels are better and closer to normal. They now know it is a virus and not a bacterial infection, which is good I guess. They do not know what kind of virus yet as the cultures have not come back yet, they take awhile. Shea is feeling better this morning and she said that her chest does not hurt anymore, thank God.
So, they will take her blood again this afternoon and see what her levels are and go from there. They could possibly move her out of intensive care this afternoon.
It seems our prayers are helping my sweet Chickies.
Tammy will call me again this afternoon with an update, she is not as scared and worried as she was last night but still very concerned of course this is her baby.

I will update y'all this afternoon.

Thank you again and each of you have a beautiful and peaceful day.

Hugs,
Debbie

Well sweet Chickies I just heard from Tammy and it was not good news. Shea's EKG came back abnormal, she is still in ICU, they are giving her transfusions of Immunoglobulins to fight off the virus, they are hoping for better results in the morning.
So, please continued prayers and good thoughts for Shea to have good results in the morning. I sure wish there was more I could do as Tammy is just so scared, I feel so helpless but I know our prayers will help.
I will update you as soon as I hear from Tammy tomorrow, but I may not be at home when she calls, she will call me on my cell but I will not be near my computer as I have Physical Therapy in the morning and will not be home until well after lunch, I will let you know as soon as I can.
Thank you again my Chickies, all your prayers just mean so much.
Good Nite and Sweet Dreams.
Hugs,
Debbie

Just now seeing this as it has already started into a hectic week here. Will be keeping Shea and her family in prayer. Also asking wisdom for the doctors to figure this out and get her on the road to recovery. Praying God will give her the peace that passes understanding.

Thanks Debbie! Hope you had a good day, PT with maybe a little fun thrown in :)!
Prayers continue for Shea, Tammy, David and family. The medical team as well. Very scary, and such a helpless feeling to have a sick child (of any age, I might add)!

A have I Ruth, Shea is just so young. I have not heard from Tammy today and I am a bit worried as they are not even answering their cell phones. Just hoping they all had a restful night and were able to get some sleep as all of them were exhausted.
If I hear anything I will post.
Thank you my chickies.

Just talked to Tammy, Shea has been sick to her stomach today and not eating much, Doctor said it is probably from her meds. But she has been resting all day so all is good. Tammy has gotten some rest as well.
She thanks all of you for your support and prayers and she will post in a couple of days.
Take care my sweet Chickies and have a wonderful evening.
