Well it's good to be grateful we have laundry to do!

Yes always laundry to do. It has to be done. But very thankful I have a machine. But looking for a new one, I have wore this one out.
Happy folding

My 34 year old washer wore out about year ago. We got one of those high efficiency models that has no agitator and uses a bare minimum of water and takes an hour to do a load. I wasn't happy with it. I finally figured out to wash everything on the bulky sheets setting to get enough water to clean the clothes. When I bought a washer for my daughter's place I found an old fashioned one that has an agitator and cleans a load in a half hour.

We have one with no agitator but it doesn't take an hour per load. I like that it adjusts the amount of water to the load. What brand did you get Judith?

Oh this is a cute photo! Yes, I am very grateful for a washing machine and dryer! I remember when we did laundry at my Grandparents farm that it took so much work. WE had to halt water inside from the big rain barrels outside, fill it up , do the wash and rinse, (thankfully we did have electricity!), then Mom would have to put each item through the wringer which was hand operated. After that, all the clothes were hung out on the clothes lines. It was quite the ordeal compared to today!

It's a Maytag. I understand high efficiency in that it uses less water but it sure doesn't save any electricity. I bought it as both of my previous washers were Maytag and they lasted over 30 years.
