Posted - Mar 09 2020 : 7:02:02 PM Hi Nini, I saw that on tv. Made me sad. Another great one from my favorite era is gone. A few years ago, my family threw me a surprise birthday party, and my very talented friend made me a Rosie the Riveter cake! She certainly lived a very long life! What an inspiring lady.

Posted - Mar 08 2020 : 07:12:53 AM Oh this is sad. My dad was in world war two, was shot, taken to a German prison camp for 17 months and lost is right leg, then sent Home to Walter Reed hospital for another 17 months. Came home got married, had me. He died when I was 8. He never talked about the war, but I remember him telling me when I thought I couldn't do something, he would say is Rosie can you can. So she was a real hero during that time. Posted - Mar 06 2020 : 07:10:19 AM I read the article yesterday and was really sad she is gone. What a incredibly patriotic young woman she was and she kept that going her entire life. She gave so much to PBS and educational programs, including Ken Burns programs. She was really amazing and will be sorely missed.
