Posted - Jul 16 2007 : 09:41:25 AM It's really hard to find goo quality cases. I find mine at thrift stores because the older ones are far nicer.
Mary Ann, great job! Cindy

Posted - Jul 16 2007 : 09:32:36 AM The pillowcases are beautiful!!!
As far as finding blank pillowcases, why not make your own? They are so easy to do. The blank ones that I've found don't seem to be of very high quality fabric and are stiff.

Posted - Jul 16 2007 : 04:36:58 AM I have had some luck finding plain pillowcase without a panel at dollar stores. I also got a McCall's pattern a few years back that I use over and over. I think I downloaded the tranfer for those pillowcase from one of the free pattern sites. If you do a google search for free pillocase embrodiery you should have quite a few pop up

Posted - Jul 12 2007 : 6:50:35 PM Maryann, They are lovely. I am planning to do a few pillowcases myself over the summer. I have made many before, but usually with my embroidery machine, not by hand. Great job! |

Posted - Jun 26 2007 : 3:08:48 PM Maryann, They are beautiful!!! What wonderful work you have done!!!
I have a collection of my grandmothers that I want to use to make a quilt because they are used & I thought this would be a great way to use them. I thought that using the crocheted edging along the top of the embrodiered piece would nicely frame them with sashing between each one.

I need to find an embroidery pattern for pillow cases. Or maybe I will keep it simple and just do tatting on them?
