Posted - Jul 07 2009 : 04:47:03 AM I love to sew and crochet. . smaller items for the summer time. Just to hot to hold something large in your lap! Hmmmmm. . well that means for only 2 months around here July and August. The leaves on the trees begin to change around August 18th and that is my sign to start on the larger projects like quilts and such.
Now is the time to make Christmas ornaments, anything that needs to dry that is overpowering indoors. . like the pine cones, I do outside on my front porch.
I guess I also spend quite a bit of time drying florals, herbs and such for fall and winter craft projects
This is a fun topic!!

Posted - Jul 06 2009 : 6:13:38 PM hehe..so very true! Now that we are living up north, the air bill isn't near as bad, but goodness it still gets pretty hot up here. :) Thankfully, Spring and Fall give us a little break from the extremes. I always seem to do my heavy crocheting (like with the warm yarn) in the summertime...lol. You'd think I'd know enough to do that in the winter and keep myself warm..hehe :) hugs

Posted - Jul 06 2009 : 5:24:57 PM Jessie I can't take the heat too so, I stay in too. I try to get out early if I have to go any where Having all the diseases I do and conditions It just isn't good for me to be out Thank goodness for air conditioning. My deceased Aunt use to say "If I can stay warm in the winter; I can stay cool in the summer" Ha. This saying ; people are always complaining about the heating bill In the summer it is the cooling bill !! Ha, hugs sheila
