Here is something I'm working on.

Our local Dollar General sells Cozy Craft pipe cleaner kits. So far I've made 3: a bluebird in a nest, a brown puppy, and this cute kitten, who looks like our Karl Catnip.

Posted - May 06 2026 : 1:05:30 PM It has been a month and I am still working on the dogs lol! It seems like I will crochet for an hour but only accomplish one row! I decided to make them both at the same time rather than finish one and start the next. I am starting to get close, so hopefully only a couple more weeks. I am ready to enlist another crocheter if anyone wants to visit!!

Posted - Apr 27 2026 : 6:32:48 PM Thanks Krista and Judith! It goes pretty fast - until I realize I dropped a stitch or added an extra yarn over lol. Definitely not a pattern I can totally space out with even though it is rhythmic.

Posted - Apr 25 2026 : 1:46:32 PM Krista your dog is so cute! Judith I’m jealous of your quilting skills!
I’m knitting like a mad woman. My niece requested a car seat cover for her first baby which is due May 20th. Had a rough start but in a groove now.

Posted - Apr 24 2026 : 4:31:19 PM I understand dance competition season! Two Granddaughters are dancers. The older one is teaching now. The younger one is not competing this year. But the Grandson is keeping us busy with travel hockey. He is traveling around trying out for Junior teams. And...that's why we pack projects in go bags! May, here we come!

Nancy, I sure have been trying lol! Right now is dance competition season for my daughter, so I don't spend much time at home at the moment. I do pack some crochet in my car for when I have some waiting time. Once May arrives I will be good to go again.

Posted - Apr 22 2026 : 5:38:39 PM Here is another one of the 3 yard quilts. They are easy and quick to make. I don't need anymore quilts; my closets are full but the guild has a charity program I make them for.

Maybe I need to get one of the 3-yard quilt books to use up some of my stash.

Posted - Apr 21 2026 : 4:41:47 PM I recently cleared several shelves of books lately too. Very true -- if I want to read them again I can go to the library. Most likely I won't want to read them; there's too many books in the world I haven't read yet. It's funny how your books are a kind of security but you feel lighter when you get rid of them.
I have been sewing a lot. I've finished 11 of my UFO's for the guild for the year, led the mystery quilt program, and discovered the 3-yard quilt books that have me finally making a dent in my fabric stash.
