I want all of you to know that I love you. I love you from the depths of my heart.

I am humbled and overwhelmed with all of the love you are pouring on me right now. I feel embarrassed a bit too.

I feel like this festering boil of grief that I have been nurturing for years has finally been lanced and drained.

Expressing gratitude to my farmgirl friends for the outpouring, no the deluge of love and caring and understanding shown to me during my rantings and ravings...well, all I can say is a humble thank you.

What could have been the worst Sunday of my life turned out to be the best learning, loving and building experience of my life.

I received so many words of encouragement and total acceptance and just hearing from so many of you what kind of person you think I am through my written words, made me realize that maybe I am that person. You farmgirls gave me the strength to stand up and be a big, strong, fighter. A WOMAN, not a scared girl. A WOMAN of worth, a WOMAN of love, a WOMAN of character, A WOMAN who is willing to throw out the doormat attitude and fight for herself. Through your words of love, wisdom and prayers, and offers of help...............I suddenly realized, that this network that has been built here is strong, loving and real. We are not just cyberfriends....we are friends. We are farmgirls, the farmgirl across the back fence. We are a network of survival for each other sometimes...........so thank you.

Once upon a time, when wanting to encourage our neighbors during hard times, a farmgirl would take a hot steaming casserole of comfort food over. Well, I have received a multitude of hot, steaming, tea towel covered casseroles of comfort. And I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Things are better, lots of work ahead. But LOVE wins!!

Oh, and I am still going to get rid of alot of fabric! :)

See what happens when Farmgirls "circle the wagons". The protective shield allows the good vibes to bounce around and affect all of us and the bad ones dissipate.
My mother was a redhead for years and fiesty as can be. Less than 5 ft tall, but she made up for it. One time, after she was up here in assisted living, she asked how I liked her hair color...the hairdresser had dyed it really bright. I told her she wouldn't need one of those orange vests road workers wear if she was out walking, cause her hair would do it. She just laughed.
Whatever is good for you and your children is good and that's all that matters.
Thanks for letting us know you're managing to hold on and move forward.

Georgann,
I haven't been at the farm much recently so I don't know exactly what has been going on, nor do I need to. I just wanted to chime in and let you know that I do indeed see you as the woman you described. I have "seen" you many times on these forums be kind, helpful & loving in so many ways to the other farmgirls. There is great strength in love. Know that. I will be praying for you. Bless you on this journey Georgann!

Yahoo. A redhead!!! Anytime I have had to kick some major booty into place I always seem to dye my hair red. I have been worried about you. Still sending positive thoughts your way. You will come out better on the other side of this.

Hey Georgann,

The one lesson I've learned over the past few years (in the face of a great life change) is that the factor of "time" has to be removed.

You just have to take deliberate actions to live your life as you envision is should be NOT the way those around you say it should be!

As far as we know we just have this one life....so since this isn't a dress rehearsal it really pays to take the leap for our own humanity since no one can or will do it for us

You stay strong and go for what you REALLY want out of this life And you know how many woman are standing beside you and will help you in anyway possible.

Peace, Stephanie

Georgann, Hooray for you. I love red hair, mine is dyed cause i like it lots. I for one am awful and I mean awful about taking care of myself until the wake up call a couple of years ago. Why in the world is it okay to neglect myself? Hmmmmm. No one is going to take care of me but me. They can suggest it but I have to do it.
Rediscovering who you are is quite a journey. Have fun on it and you certainly are in my thoughts and prayers.
Carol Sue

Enjoying the moments.

Red IS a good color, isn't it? I had much more fun as a red head than I ever did as a blonde! :) I dyed my hair red for St. Paddy's day last year. :D Nora has red hair too!

Georgan. All women seem to nuture others before ourselves and we need to remember we are no good to others unless we take time for ourselves. You have had a hard go lately and you absolutely deserve and should give yourself the time. I bet you look good as a redhead, maybe that will light your fire within. Remember there is always a lesson from all of our experiences sometimes events wake us up so we can appreciate why we are here. Do keep us posted as we are thinking of you and hope all works out for you, patience is a virture. Things have a way of working themselves out when you are working towards your goals. Take care cause we care Carrie

Well............I am holding up. Taking irons out of the fire and kicking bootie here has been doing the trick, mine included. I have to read back through the painful posts daily to remind myself that our lives and relationships hang on the thinnest of threads at times.

I am learning, never take anything or anyone for granted. I am working hard on destroying complacency in my life. I am learning to demand and don't wait to make something happen. MAKE it happen, then if the worst happens, I know that I did my very best. This is not all about me. I am a product of my own making and I am now going to make it happen. I have been a mother all of my life and always nurturing those around me, and now, I know this sounds selfish, but I am nurturing myself.

Yes, the farmgirls here are strong, wonderful and always ready to lend a helping hand and words of love and encouragement.
Thank you again, I'll keep you updated.

Oh.....................I kicked my own bootie and dyed my hair brilliant bright auburn red!!!!!!! I've always wanted to be a red-head. My hair was going mousey blondie grey..............NO MORE! LOL No I'm not crazy, just always wanted to taste life as a red-head. LOL

I am so glad you are not giving up! When you wrote, "I am breaking up housekeeping" I almost fell out of my chair, as it sounded so unlike you! Keep fighting--remember what we value most we have to work the hardest for. I am not sure exactly what you and your family are facing, but you can always find a shoulder here :)
