I planted nasturtiums yesterday in my pedestal pots, and poked them in with the larger square end of my No. 11 size knitting needle. Made it go quickly and effectively, and the dirt just fell in around the hole. Patted them firmly, watered and voila!
Now, we'll see what comes up!

Aha! I don't have a dibber, so I just improvised...well, that and Rose ate the other one along with the knitting attached!

I use a nut picker from my nutcracker set for the same thing. Or a pencil for larger seeds. |
