our precious little one has arrived .. June 8 at 4:14 p.m. -- 6 pounds 3 ounces == 19inches long. momma and baby are beautiful and doing great! the nurse said it was the easiest birth she'd ever witnessed.

we were all so very surprized she was a Princess rather than a Prince .. because Wednesday was carrying just like she did with LUCAS. (so much for body-shape theories!) only HANK .. KNEW she would be a GIRL. He said this throughout her pregnancy when the rest of us were 'guessing' a BOY. Even the doctors thought this would be an EIGHT pounder. and she is light as a butterfly.

Lucas adores her already (he is an incredibly wonderful BIG BROTHER to Sofia) .. Sofia .. 'pats' her like a bunny. I don't think she fully understands that she will be coming home with her mommy. She was quite nervous seeing her mommy in a 'hospital bed' the day of Isabelle's birth.

Iszabel isn't a name after anyone in the family .. Wednesday just loves the name .. EMMA is indeed after her other grammie and great-grammie (my auntie Emma who raised me). (Sofia got MY middle name) (Sofia Catherine).

Oh what a beautiful and wonderful memory and experience this has been .. to be here in toledo the last two weeks of wednesday's pregnancy .. seeing labor from beginning to end (which was quite easy for her .. but then .. she is a real 'soldier' too!) I'll be here for two or three more weeks helping with all the children.

My cup runneth over! xoxo, frannie

good friday morning (the 13th no less!) the teeniest princess has gone for her 'check-up' .. wednesday has been feeding her like she was fattening up a calf! she was 6 pounds three ounces when born. lost a pound and a half which dropped her into the FIVE pound category .. (lucas and sofia were bigger babies .. so wednesday is used to more 'meat on the bones'!) but i must say .. she 'bounced back' a lot quicker with this wee one .. no major rips or tears and no CRACKED butt bone like she had with lucas!

gosh .. do we just FORGET after so many years or did we REALLY worry so much over our newborns like women do today? wednesday is concerned whether she might be feeding iszabel TOO much and TOO often .. i told her i just remember giving her bottle until she was full. (i didn't breast feed .. looking back now .. i wish i had .. but i went right back to work .. and while i guess we had 'breast pumps' almost 40 years ago .. i sure don't remember that being an option!)

do you 'older' moms remember 'fussing' so over what seems to me today .. little things! ha! i guess it all seems so little .. cuz' we remember the 'trials and tribulations' that 'might' come with the teen years!

hope everyone is doing great! i'm only on-line for a short time about once a day (frank's business computer) .. will catch up on all the good gossip when i return home.

xo, frannie

again .. thanks so very much for all the sweet well wishes! xoxo

Do not fret,Miss Frannie. Being a "three-time" grammie myself I truly understand. Grandbabie time is precious--savor every bit! I made a stitchery when my children were young that said, "Cleaning and scrubbing can wait for tomorrow, cause babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep."
You'll have time to catch-up with all of us later--we will all look forward to it, esp. the photos--but family always comes first.

Joyfully,

Charleen

Ok, Miss Frannie, you know we'll want some pictures of this li'l darlin', right?

So HAPPY for you, Miss Frannie! Nothing more special than a new little Grandbabie and seeing your 'baby' giving birth to her baby is seeing love come full circle. A mircle to behold. I met you at the Cinnamon Cabin Creek Show. Hubby and I drove there from Williamsburg,Va.---but it was so worth it!!! I will never forget you telling me that some 'Ragadies' had little candy hearts, and children used to lick them. I so enjoyed listening to your 'stories'! Congratulations on the Blessed Event!!!

Joyfully,
Charleen

thanks sweet gurlfrenz. have to tell you .. that i ADORE the way they decided to spell her name:

ISZABEL EMMA ... (AND I MUST SAY THAT IT WAS 'GRAMMIE'S IDEA). I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED 'DIFFERENT' NAMES ... OR A DIFFERENT WAY OF SPELLING THEM!) SOFIA has an "F" instead of the 'usual' ph ... love it!

and ISZABEL is the Hungarian way to spell her name. i LOVE the SZ .. because their last name is SZollosi!!! A little something to set them apart.

I've been joking and calling them "IZZY and FIFI" (sofia sometimes calls herself FIFI. and then of course, their is Prince LUCO (as sofia sometimes says lucas .. other times she is perfectly clear with his name .. i do believe she knows that LUCO is her 'nickname' for him!

baby and momma came home today. she is soooooo teensy!!!! honey hunk heads home tomorrow .. but i'll stay for another week or two.

thanks for your sweet well wishes ... grands truly are grande! xo
