ha! i had a giggle this morning when i took lucas and sofia to 'monette's' for some fresh, local produce for our cook-out this afternoon.

i wore my beautiful 'fiesta' apron that ada mae made. a lady in the shoppe noticed lucas and sofia and struck up a 'hello' conversation with them. then she turned to me and told me what beautiful, delightful and well-behaved children they were (she was on City Council here in Toledo with Frank). She smiled at me and asked me if i was the "NANNY" .. i giggled and replied: "somewhat" .. then told her i was their grammie.

she smiled and told me 'it was the apron' .. i thought you were their Nanny.

i told her it's a 'farmgirl' thang!

we had such a nice time with the family at our cook-out. the weather is delightful .. not too hot and humid. the kids dipped in their little pool for awhile .. good conversation .. lots of love up here.

hope you are all having a great father's day celebration too! xo

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.
