This mushroomy kind of thing is growing all over my prickly evergreen tree...anyone know what it is????

Thank you Julie and JoAnn- I printed out the page you linked me to so I can share it with my husband. Very interesting!!! It is actually quite pretty but rather gross (gelanous) to touch and we washed well after. This has never happened before!

It kooks like cedar apple rust or gymnsporangium.
