I am in the mood for valentine's!!! I found this Fabric at my girlfriends quilt store . I bought it, I am thinking of something simple with 9 - 15" squares with a heart appliques and maybe a couple of borders. Well the boys are making pudding and motherhood calls..

Yes, It would be perfect for a bed! It is cotton. Not sure if it comes in flannel. But would be oh so cozy if it did. I am not really sure how to find ourt if it comes in flannel, I could ask my quilt-shop friend.

wow wee Love this fabric. It is cotton, right? I'm looking for some great flannels for the quilt I'm collecting fabric for. I want to make a queen size quilt for bed made of flannel and this fabric would just be sooo perfect for a bed, don't ya think?

I looked up Gail wilson, what a great website. I do love her reproduction prints. I also love moda! They have some really creative designers. The thing with Kaffe Fassett, he is so wild. Although I lean towards more primitive, once in a while, my husband will do a double take, when I have bright sherbert fabric hanging around. Then I always come back to the 'grunge' of primitive. I have to really restrain myself in a fabric shop. Ok enough fabric talk, time to get back to my 'projects'.

well, some of it sure looks like cute dolly dresses to me! i went to both a fabric store and an antiques shoppe yesterday looking for 'valentine-ish' fabrics. found some ole red long-johns that i might cut up to use somehow (maybe pantaloons) .. and got a few romantic-ish new fabrics too. i really like moda fabrics and GAIL WILSON has a most wonderful line of 'reproduction early armerican 'teensy' prints' for doll dresses! you can find her fabrics at gailwilson.com

I love Kaffe Fassett stuff too. There isn't much in the line of fabrics and quilt patterns that I don't like! Pictures please when you get it done!

Ok I have changed my direction, a little, I am not going to do heart applique. As I looked over books and patterns filled with quilts, I was inspired by Kaffe Fassett. I am going to do my own spin from one of his quilts. I am very excited about it and started tonight, can't wait to show you all when I am done. I think I will call it 'vintage valentine'

Blessings,
Theresa

I love all her stuff. Everything she does has this soft romantic feel to it as well as being French Country. She does quite a bit with chickens and roosters and we all know how we feel about that!

Hello all,
Yes I agree she is a wonderful artist I will have to check her out at art.com....You are right Aunt Jenny about the collage fabric! My quilt-shop friend sold out of it in 2 days! She has ordered more, I plan to get some!!

I showed my hubby and I asked him what he though of the fabric, he gave that raised eyebrow look and said, well I would rather see you wearing something like that. Gave me a little chuckle!

Blessings,
Theresa

Beautiful design ~ it would be well suited for an herbal pillow or something kept in your bedroom. My hubby would suggest making a nighty of it, but then again he'd have me make a nighty of anything (we get bored ~ or is it creative? ~ out here in the country!).

As an artist, as well as a newbie to sewing/quilting, I really appreciate a pretty piece of printed fabric. Kimberly Poloson's prints would be great not just for quilts, but also for scrapbooking, don't you think? Looking at these designs inspires me to sketch bits and pieces of the pictures to frame individually (or I could spend the money and just buy her prints). Making a feature quilt paired with framed sketches of the fabric design (any fabric that catches the eye) would decorate a cozy little room perfectly!

I've discovered Kimberly Poloson has a lot of wonderful art displayed at art.com ~ much of it would look fabulous in a country household. I'm so excited to find this new artist! Thank you, ladies! =o)

Yes she did. Here's the link to all her fabrics. http://www.robertkaufman.com/fabric/forget_me_not.asp
She's not really a friend, just an acquaintance. I can't find her fabrics here yet but I am going to get the local quilt shop to check into it.

Here's a free quilt pattern using her fabrics. http://www.robertkaufman.com/assets/pdf/RKQ.Forget_Me_Not.pdf

Thanks you girls! That is so fun that you know the artist! The fabric is by robert kaufman. The whole line of this fabric is romantic. There is another print that my quilt friend is going to order. It has that 'mail art' look. Lots of texture , just very rich. I wonder if your friend designed that too!

I will post pictures when I finish!

Theresa -- I know the gal that designed that fabric. Her name is Kimberly Poloson. She is a local artist from Vancouver and use to consign her paintings in my daughter's store. I was so excited to find our Kimberly was doing fabric!
