Posted - Jan 28 2010 : 11:37:14 AM You know, just a shot in the dark, but my reflexologist told me gout (pain in the big toe) is thyroid related. I have had thyroid diagnosed by 4 different sources and she is the only one that connected the toe pain to thyroid. Might check it out if you haven't found a solution to your problem. |

Posted - Dec 25 2009 : 05:02:16 AM My brother had gout. It is 90% confined to men...
I hope it's not RA. Could just be osteo arthritis. When mine flares, it feels as if I've been running on rocks barefoot. Hang in there. The first flares are the worst. |

Posted - Dec 24 2009 : 1:49:57 PM I thought I had updated, sorry!!
It is NOT the gout PTL! But now the dr. is thinking it might be Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is in my famliy, mo mom had it, her aunt had it bad and brother has it too plus Fibromyalgia. In about two weeks time the dr. want to do the neccesarry bloodtests to see whether ity really IS Rheumatoid. I won't worry about that before I know for sure though. She was wrong about the gout too, duh!!
Thanks for all the well wishes :)

Posted - Dec 24 2009 : 11:47:04 AM Marian, I am sorry you have gout. there are simple, safe medications your doctor can prescribe that will keep it well under control. there are also dietary guidelines you can follow that will greatly reduce your gout symptoms and attacks. Go online and lookup "gout diet". These are well known, reliable guidelines to follow, what you eat or don't eat vastly affects whether or not you will get symptoms. all my best to you, I will pray for a painfree, comfortable and Merry Christmas for you!! Posted - Dec 17 2009 : 06:47:58 AM Roxy is right, they do not have to be bing cherries and cherry juice is great as well, it's just in the US canned cherries are pleantiful. Cherry juice is sold online by the major vitemin and suppliment chains. |
