Hi !
This is my first time to be a part of the Farmgirl Connection !
I have a chicken dilemma, and wondered if anyone has ideas...
I have seven very sweet hens, one of which is brooding this whole week. We don't have a rooster, but a friend said she would give me some fertile eggs to put under her, so my kids and I can experience the joy of baby chicks ! However... we are having to move in July , and my chicken barn /run is currently for sale . If I started this process, and the barn sells before the chicks are hatched, can my hen safely be moved to a different area, and continue to set ? Or will it disrupt her, and I would lose the chicks ?? I just don't know if i should even try it, but I would LOVE to experience this before I have to give up my chickens all together. Any input would be greatly appreciated !!

Joyfully,
BobbiLynn

It only takes 21 days for the eggs to hatch so if you put her on eggs now you should be fine before you ave to move.
