Last year I scanned a lot of old family pics of Christmas and put them onto a dvd with music. Everybody loved it. I'm trying to think of a way to make some extra bucks (isn't everyone?), and I wonder if other folks might pay to have that done with their old pics? Or since everybody has their own computer/printers nowadays, maybe not?

What do you think?

hey little sis, I have loads of old family photos I don't really know what to do with from Steve's side, could they go on a DVD too ?

You could also do that for brides and their weddings since they are so busy. Good luck. Great idea.

Kris - of course you could pick the music!

pnickols - hey, sis! (she's my sister for real!)

Thanks farmgirls! I need to find some bulletin boards now... :)

That is a fantastic idea. I am another one that doesn't know alot about computers and would pay to have it done. Put ads on bulletin boards everywhere you can. Good luck. I think this is a winner!

I think it's a great idea. Can you imagine how many people would probably love to do that with their old photos, but just don't have the time or resources? A LOT of folks, I bet! I say go for it, especially with the holiday season just around the corner!

Well, I am one of those people that has a computer but don't know how to use it. So yes, I would pay for someone to do this. My cousin sent a disc of our family reunion last summer that I didn't get to attend. It had music. I loved it. I guess we could choose the music we wanted? I think it's a great idea. And no shopping or crowds! That's the best part. All mail.

hey glad to see you on, I think it's a great idea, you'd be amazed at how many people don't know or don't want to learn how to use technology or just don't have the time to do it for themselves. Now if you know how to put VHS onto DVD call me !!!

big sis :)

Pricing is always difficult.

Sounds like maybe a good idea, then? I was thinking of putting an ad in Craigslist, although I think you have to be careful with that.

Now I just have to come up with a price...

Thanks!

My sister does that and people love it. Yes they are willing to pay for the service because a lot of people can't be bothered. Good Luck it's a great idea.

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!

Yes, I'd say GO for it. As has been said before not everyone knows how to do that :)

I did it a few years ago with my baptism foto's, looked lovely and my brother liked them too. He could not be there so that way he could see them too :)

Also remember not everyone has a scanner. My best friend who lives several states away came for a visit and she brought a hand held photo scanner so I didn't have to mail my pictures out. It was really awesome and now some of my oldest pictures are now on my computer. But I don't have the time to put them on a cd with music so I think your idea is really great. Go for it!

Go for it. I can barely use a computer and there are things like that that people would love to pay someone to do. I think that would be a nice service to offer. Good luck.

Don't under estimate the laziness of others. I bet people would love that. I notice they put photos on disc at Costco, but I am not sure of the price and I know they would not put them to music. I think it would work.
