Help! I just bought a nice pair of sneakers at a thrift store and got them home and then noticed they smell like smoke. I don't want to wash them, and I have them sitting outside but does anyone have any ideas to get the smell out? Thanks!

Good ideas. I have some lavender oil I mixed and sprayed on them, and I'll just leave em out side for a few days. Thanks guys! Carol

I just used a scented soap inside for awhile or charcoal also works (the kind you put in fish tanks). Good luck

You could try spraying them with vinegar and or maybe letting them sit in baking soda for a long time?

I had a Fez that I purchased from a heavy smoker.. what I did was fresh sunshine air.. then when I had to bring it in.. I'd put it in it's case with a lavender sachet.. then repeat... the smell did finally fade away.
