Any of you using pinterest?

MaryJanesFarm is now pinning! :D

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard — a place to catalog and share the things you love. Pin anything that catches your eye: memorable meals, places to visit, or great shopping finds!

Check it out! This is such a great way to keep connected with the DIY projects, new trends, recipes, craft ideas, and styles you see online. You may request an invite on their home page to get started. (Sorry ahead of time-we cannot send invites)

We hope to see you there!

I am a Pinterest junkie. I have Lyme disease and when I have down days that is how I entertain myself. It is dangerous. I love it. The creativity is wonderful.

I love pinterest!
I spend too much time pinning and not enough time
making the things I pin!
Love, love, love the pins about Ryan Gosling...if you're
a fan, check them out. You'll see what I mean!
Happy pinning, girls!

I don't spend a lot of time on Pinterest. I have found some great ideas and I've shared a lot of my own but it doesn't consume a lot of my time. There are tons and tons of ideas and recipes . . .

Wow.....I just saw where I posted I'd just joined Pinterest. That was almost 2 yrs ago and I've been pretty MIA from MJ's since that time until just recently. I think there needs to be a 12 step program to unpin yourself from Pinterest. I just thought I'd been gone from MJ's a few months, not almost 2 yrs! I do follow her there and Facebook but it's not the same as actually being here. Something happened the other day. I suddenly realized I'd seen most of the "new" pins being shown and thought gosh, I need to check in at MJ's as I was feeling like I was missing out on some good stuff. I'm glad I did :)

I use Pintrest to organize my brain. I have a board of photos of places I've been and I go there to escape for a few mins. I have a board of recipes that I want to try. I "pinup" other people's creative ideas that I think I want to use at a later time. I also have a board with quotes that I like from other people that inspire me. Hope that helps. Joeu

Can someone enlighten me--what is the point of Pinterest? I've been on a couple of times, but I just don't get it! Is it an all purpose bulletin board where everyone shares. I am trying to understand.

I've been addicted to pinterest for about a year now, I love it! https://pinterest.com/felixfelicis/ You discover so many new things and you can organize all the old things you wanted to be sure to remember. A word to those who don't have a facebook or twitter or those who made one simply to get onto pinterest. Once you have your pinterest account set up you can go into your settings from the top right corner and disconnect your pinterest from the other account. They require that you have one to join as a sign that you are not a spammer or robot but once you're on you can un-link them. This can make it harder for your real life friends to find you but you then might be able to delete the account you made just for pinterest purposes. I haven't tried that myself but there seem to be several people on here that would appreciate the two accounts not being linked at the very least. I like my pinterest much more than my facebook and I disconnected them first thing.

Well now I have tried to get on pinterest twice with no luck, what am I doing wrong?
Sheep Mom 2 Posted - Mar 24 2012 : 09:07:05 AM
Be careful what you "pin" - there are copyright issues looming with pinterest. Read this article http://greekgeek.hubpages.com/hub/Is-Pinterest-a-Haven-for-Copyright-Violations I don't do it for this reason - I think it's trouble looming unless they change their policy. They wiggle out of the issue by putting it back on the "pinner" and most never think about that aspect of it.
