While we were gone on vacation ...well, the morning we were driving home... my Icelandic ewe, Trixie had twin lambs. She had been in with the ram..a navajo Churro named curly...for way over a year so I had given up by now and didn't consider that she may lamb while we were gone. She hasn't been sheared yet this spring (soon) so she is very wooly and hid her pregnancy well. Anyway..twin girls...they are named Dixie and Pixie. So sweet!!

Usually it's a let down when you get home after a vacation, but not this time! What a nice surprise! Such a good mommy and sweet babies.
