WalMart ususally has the cheapest prices IF they still carry it in their craft section. One of my local WalMarts stopped carrying DMC floss. Joann Fabric ususally has competitive prices and great to stock up when they go on sale. One of my girlfriends was determined to buy every single color and over the years she finally accomplished her goal .. and guess who got stuck winding her floss with her??? YES! ME!

What colors do you need K? I have an overabundance of floss that we could do a swap with.

Thanks! I need 6 skeins of floss for each Christmas ornament I am about to make and sell.

I appreciate your help.

Often Michaels and Joann's come out with 20% off everything coupons (even sale items). I like to wait till I have one of those to buy lots of DMC floss. It adds up if you have a big project and not many colors yet.

It also depends on material...I'd love to start using silk floss for my work but its just not price feasible. :(

Cotton is pretty much 30-50 cents a skein. Keep an eye out on Joann's sales. I've gotten it for four skeins for a dollar before.

About 30-50 cents pending on where you buy. Walmat is 30 cents

At Michael's $.35. Do not know price from other stores. I just started a project and had to buy the embroidery thread. I hope this helps.
