This one has been in my "tickler" file for a while.

I've seen some posts on here about homemade laundry soap, and also plenty of recipes online.

What if you have really sensitive skin, and can't use washing soda or any of the soaps that are recommended?

I'm thinking that the soda part of the washing soda (ie baking soda) and the borax really do all the heavy work.

I'm also concerned that I'll have to wash things twice - once with the powder, then again with a vinegar rinse. Kind of afraid to try them together - don't want to turn my pretty new washing machine into a volcano! LOL

Your thoughts, ideas, other recipes, are greatly appreciated as always!

Thanks, Amy.

Based on what you posted, I'm thinking I might just try the dish soap I use that's enviro friendly and unscented and some borax. Still not certain if I can add any vinegar as a rinse agent.

There is also a laundry soap recipe that uses Dawn dishwashing soap.
