HEY GIRLS...DON'T FORGET...TOMORROW...THURSDAY OCTOBER 17TH IS OUR WONDERFUL FARM GIRL DAY OF PRAYER...PLEASE PRAY FOR ALL OF OUR FARM GIRL SISTERS...THEIR FAMILIES...THEIR PHYSICAL...SPIRITUAL AND FINANCIAL NEEDS AND ESPECIALLY FOR OUR COUNTRY AND OUR LEADERS...

MOST OF ALL...PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD'S WILL BE DONE IN OUR LIVES...

GOD IS A WONDERFUL AWESOME GOD AND I PRAISE HIM FOR EVERYTHING THAT HE DOES FOR ME ON A DAILY BASIS...

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT WHERE 2 OR 3 ARE GATHERED IN HIS NAME HE WILL BE IN THE MIDST...I KNOW HE WILL BE IN OUR MIDST THURSDAY AS WE PRAY... I EXPECT GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS TO COME FROM OUR JOINT PRAYERS!!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL FARM GIRL DAY OF PRAYER!!!

Something very special has been on my heart for months...so after much thought and prayer...I feel led to ask each of you to join me in a special day of prayer. My dear sweet friend Jenny(auntsmelly) has been so kind and generously given her time to help me put this together.

We are happy to announce a date for the first Farm Girl Sisterhood Day of Prayer. It will be on Thursday, October 17th.

God is so good to all of us. Let's not forget to give Him thanks and praise for His goodness toward us.

Jenny and I are asking that each of you who commit yourself to prayer on this day pray as much as possible. Try to set aside a time where you can truly focus on praying for others as well as your own family needs.

There are so many things that we as believing farm girl sisters need to pray about.

First we need to pray for our nation and our leaders.
Secondly, for our church pastors and leaders in our churches.
Thirdly for our families and for our employers. Also, for those who may be out of a job right now.
For those who are hurting. I know we have farm sisters who have needs individually and in their families. Please lift them up in your prayers.
And especially, for those who have physical and emotional illness.

Jesus spent much time in prayer and went about doing good for others...so...

As a part of this special day of prayer...we would like to ask each of you to try to do a Random Act of Kindness during the month of October.

Some examples could be donating food to a local food pantry, donating your time working at a soup kitchen, nursing home animal shelter or food pantry, spending time with a special needs child, cooking a meal or baking something special for an elderly person, or just sending someone a card of encouragement. There are so many things that we can do to uplift someone else.

We would love for each of you who do a Random Act of Kindness to post on the forum and let us know what you did for others. We know that God will richly bless you for every effort you put forth to do something for others.

If you have a special prayer request that you would like to share please do so when you sign up for the special Day of Prayer.

Also, please send Jenny and I your mailing address so we can send you a card of thanks for committing your time to pray and uplift the needs of others before the Lord.

We sincerely hope that many of you will find it in your heart to dedicate this special day to a time of prayer for others.

Hugs and Blessings,

Judy and Jenny

I have always had a corkboard in my kitchen and a prayer list on it, so I can see it and pray while I am washing dishes. Seems I am always washing dishes! LOL!! I also keep family members pictures that live out of state on it, so I can see them and pray for them also. We all get busy, and the older I get ,I need more sticky notes!,LOL!! At one time my prayer list reached the floor. Daisy, I love the journal idea, I will do that too, and put it with my sewing things on the table beside my comfy chair. I don't think there are any of us that could not use a prayer every day! Hugs!

One of the RAOK I did for this month was gifting my Sisterhood Membership that Mary Jane gave me with another farmgirl who could not afford to renew her membership. I had Mary Jane's Blessing and it made my heart sing that together her and I did two RAOK and have made another farmgirl so happy , thank you again Mary Jane.
Hugs & Blessings,

I want to say thank you for the nudge back into the fold. I send up prayers when I read of some ones troubles and tell myself that I will put them in MY Prayer Journal. Put then forget to actually write it into a journal......it has been a mental journal. Today I will be searching my many blank page books that I have around my house (journals) that still have blank pages and I will begin to actually write the persons name and the reason for the need for the prayers. I intend to only add names never cross them off and be better at sending the prayers to heaven. My list will grow and fill this book up and when full I will get another journal. That's the way I intend to keep my friends needs up front. If someones needs are meet then I will pray for them in other ways.....they will remain in my journal and in my prayers. This one days events has been so inspiring....so heart felt....drawing me nearer to my Maker. Thank you all for this gift. Love and hugs to you all. Your names will be in my journal.

Hello FarmSisters,
How blessed we are!
This day of prayer has inspired me to continue praying more diligently.
I have my time with the Lord and His word each night, but focusing on
prayer throughout the day makes me feel so much closer to Him.
I keep a little prayer notebook in my purse and now I'm carrying it around
and jotting down prayers as the day goes on. I am finding that as I write,
I pray. I find it difficult to remember all I want to pray for--I read the prayer
requests out loud to the Lord. He knows I have a memory problem, so I know
He understands.
Thank you all for your kind words, prayers and friendship.

I just wanted to say that yesterday was a truly blessed day for me. I found that even during my mid-terms I was praying for all my farm girl sisters and their needs and found a peace within me during the tests. I do believe that is why I did so well. Thank you Judy and Jenny for putting this day together.
As for me, I want to thank all of you for your prayers for my husband and my peace of mind.

Thank you Mary Jane for you gift. What a Blessing you are. This is a lifeline to so many women and I feel so fortunate to be a part of this sisterhood. Whenever I go somewhere I'm always talking about my "Farm girl Sisters" and everyone wants to hear more! LOL! Of course I tell them. When I couldn't be on here during my Chemo etc., because I couldn't see and feel my fingers, I still was a part of MJF because of all the cards and gifts I received from my sisters. Some I knew and some I didn't. They kept me going. Thank You All!

Denise, I am sorry for your family matters and you are in my prayers as well as your sister and father. It sounds as if your sister has made her Peace and is that is a blessing. May her strength sustain you all as you maneuver this difficult journey with her.

Judy and Jenny, SUCCESS! Everything works when God is in it. Thank you for starting this forum.

Still praying for you all.

Hi everyone. Happy Prayer Day!
It's been a lovely day. When I couldn't pray today- being a public school
teacher...I kept God at the top of my thoughts. It felt so good.
I am praying for the requests coming in, and will continue after today.
