Hello, ladies!

I am looking to possibly do a barter for some yarn. I use Peaches & Creme or Lily Sugar'N Cream yarns. I'm not color-picky.

I have crafts items (inks, beads, stamps, metal jewelry pieces and findings...) that I am willing to trade for some skeins of yarn. The yarns I'm looking for are $2ish per skein at Wal*Mart and Michaels stores. Not looking for much, just trading out my crafts supplies for something new and exciting. Our only light-weight / summer quilt is in tatters, and I've been wanting to try my hand at crocheting a new one for us.

Photos of what I have available for barter coming soon. Just getting all photos taken and posted to Photobucket. Thanks in advance.

You're very welcome! I'm so glad you can use them.

I have started a cowl using some of the yarn you sent me. I'll post up a photo as soon as it's completed :)

Don't know if you are interested in branching out or not, but I have been told that this web site is one of the lowest-priced yarn stores in the US. I don't see the Sugar'n Cream but they do have Bernat Handicrafter. The downside is if you are ordering online you have to have a $50 minimum order.

Sweet, thank you ladies!! I will definitely check the site and all.

Edit: I just wanted to add a brief apology. I have been sick most of this pollen season (allergies, eye infections, etc.) and have spent the last couple weeks playing catch-up with my work and household errands. Hence, I have not been back here to reply. Thank you for your understanding.

Colors I'm seeking: I will gladly take any colors anyone isn't using as I can put them into cowls to sell this Fall. Our quilt / blanket is going to be the following colors - Bright Orange, Earthy Orange, Blueberry, Sunshine, and Panorama.

They do have a web site Long Creek Mills and telephone # 866-869-6651. Lion Brand 100% pure cotton 236 yards was 6 for 7.99 and peaches and cream (same size as WM was 4 for 4.99). Take a look at the colors - I am planning to go up in the next week or so and would pick up some to exchange with you if the colors work.

Thank you for the tip! Do you know if they have a website where I could order online? I don't have good transportation beyond the local city bus right now.

Laura, I know we're battering here but I thought I would mention Long Creek Mills in Gastonia - they have some Lyon Brand & Peaches & Cream specials. Most reasonable cotton yarn I have seen in forever.

I have ( or can get) the cotton yarn you are looking for. It's about $2.50 plus tax a skein. Do you want any special colors? How many do you need? You can e-mail me. Thanks, Joey

I use these yarns mostly in cowls, etc. It felt very light-weight to me, but then I've never put it into a larger project before... hmm... definitely something to think about. Thank you.

Have you used the craft cotton before? It will be very heavy as an afghan. You need lighter weight cotton to make a summer afghan. Also washing and drying the heaver will most likely be pulled out of shape. Good luck with your quest.
