Posted - Jul 04 2014 : 12:53:29 PM I have used large pots several times over the years when I've had bumper crops and time was my enemy due to spoilage, worked just fine...

Posted - Jul 03 2014 : 6:58:55 PM It should work and as Nini suggested. Just be sure to process the proper amount of time for whatever you're canning. CJ

Posted - Jul 03 2014 : 6:10:52 PM Sure, Judy! The main thing is that you have something on the bottom to separate the jar bottoms from the bottom of the pan (if the insert fits, I'd use it!), and then you'll want to be sure there is an inch or two (or is it two or three inches?) above the top of the jars, as you would in a regular canner, and then, of course, cover everything with a lid while processing. You should be good to go! Let us know how things turn out! :) Hugs - Nini
