Since this is the first Christmas season in three years we get to actually "celebrate" by doing everything, we wanted to make it a "Homemade Holiday"!!

I have Kindergarten and younger age group and I am looking for advice and ideas for crafts they can make to give family back home (we moved across the country)! Also, the crafts can be ones that require adult assistance as my husband and I will be helping them so it is a whole family effort!

How do you have a Handmade, Homemade, Christmas Holiday with your little ones? Thanks in advance!

Great idea's! Yes, I'm on Pinterest, it's just so time consuming and I get easily sidetracked by home decor projects I forget why I got on in the first place! :) I looked through the other thread and it was really interesting but I'm looking more specifically gifts, not really ornaments. Something the kids can make family, which they can use year round. I know there was MJF issue on that, but my issues are still packed away in storage from when we moved last month. Keep the ideas coming, thank you so much for the help! I really appreciate it!!!! I am going to make the cinnamon ornaments and use them as decoration on the gifts themselves, plus I bet they will make the gift box smell amazing when our family across the nation gets to open it!!!!

Martha Stewart's magazine on-line has a lot of great ideas too and she mostly uses items most people already have in their home. There was a link about this a few weeks ago here about easy crafts, It has a lot of great links for you to explore. I'm doing the button wreaths and stick trees with my son this year. Have fun looking for projects to enjoy with your children!

Krystle - are you on Pinterest? There are thousands of ideas on there! I don't have time to go through all we do right now, as my youngest wants to eat, but hopefully by posting on here tonight, it will remind me to type a list out for you tomorrow :) Are there any types of crafts (painting, weaving, yarn crafts, etc) that you are more interested in? Two of our favorites at that age is making pictures with their hands, feet, and/or finger tips, and making applesauce and cinnamon ornaments.
