I had 2 interviews this week in an attempt to get back on the Department. I was so nervous yesterday, I could barely write my name legibly. Today's interview was better since I knew 2 people on the committee and I was more relaxed.
My best friend's husband talked to one person on the committee (they all know each other) later today and asked how I did. He said I did very well and the Captain as impressed. Let's hope he was impressed enough to put my name at the top of the selection list!!!!!
Positive thoughts and prayers requested that I get the job I am best qualified for. Thank you!!!

Lora, glad to hear you're getting settled in to your new job. You'll have that place whipped into shape in no time:) ! You'll get adjusted to the early bedtime, but it takes awhile!

new job has been a bit stressful, but I'm adjusting. Now if I can get this daylight bedtime thing figured out, I'd probably be less stressed. It is so hard for me to get in bed when it is still daylight even if it is 9 or 930 pm.
Otherwise, I've seen a lot of faces I used to work with prior to 2009 and there are a lot more new faces. I am in an office with one other person and all I do is enter inventory issues/adjustments. We are currently using 2 separate systems and I am in charge of the new system. I am finding that the old system has a lot more beneficial attributes compared to the new system. We are trying to figure out how we can utilize both for what we need. I was completely amazed at how much inventory Indiana State Police deals with on an everyday basis. And we have to audit 1300-1400 troopers every year. What fun!!

A bit longer than I expected, but I received the call on Wednesday. I was selected for the 2nd job I applied for. I start April 27th.

Background interviews are done and now we wait. Trooper said he would turn in the reports today or Monday and I should hear something by the end of the week.

Got an email Wednesday that I have been selected for the next step in the hiring process which is fingerprinting and background investigation. Went and had prints done this morning. Now we wait.
