I just went to the Vermont Quilt Festival, and it was great! Do you guys ever go to the big quilt shows, like Paducah, or Houston?

Sarah, the Vermont Quilt Festival is wonderful, have been several times! I also have enjoyed the Bennington Quilt Fest show in VT and I have been blessed to also attend the Quilt Odyssey show in Hershey, PA; the Quilt Fest of NJ and the AQS show in Lancaster. I do attend the local small shows. The quilts are so beautiful at each show! Paducah & Houston are on the wish list!

I did take pics, but they have gotten pretty tight about posting images on the internet of other people's quilts. If I had taken the time to write down the artist's names and titles of quilts, I could post, but alas, I was so overwhelmed by all that I was seeing that I forgot to think ahead about posting the pics. Ah well. Maybe I'll be better prepared next year. :)

Sarah, you lucky Lady! I would love to go to a large quilt festival! Even the small guild shows here make me feel like I am walking through a kaleidoscope! We have been through Paducah twice on our way to Florida. No time to go inside. However, DH has promised me a weekend trip there so I can go INSIDE the museum.

Sarah, I've been to the Fine Fiber Arts Show at the Chicago Botanical Garden that they have in November every year. I am always speechless by the beautiful, creative, and traditional quilts they have there. I would love to go to the shows in KY and TX, but alas, my husband doesn't want to travel that far for quilts.

Thanks for telling us about it! I hope you get to see more shows.

I may go to Houston this year. Haven't been before. I've been to Dallas and Sacramento, but no other large ones.

Sarah, I did not get a chance to attend this year due to DD's graduation.

I enjoy going to the Champagne & chocolate preview on Thursday evening. It has been an annual thing for a friend and I. Leave the shop early, catch a dinner at Junior's in Winouski then onward to the festival.

Glad you had a good time. Any favourite quilts?

Sarah, I bet it was a fantastic festival. Lucky you that it was close enough to go to and enjoy. Did you take any photos of your favorite quilts that you saw?
