I just read Let the Hurricane Roar by Rose Wilder Lane, Laura Ingalls Wilder's daughter. It's the same story as On the Banks of Plum Creek, from the Little House on the Prairie series, but it was written a number of years before Plum Creek was published, and it has different details in it. It's a lovely story and a wonderful companion to Laura Ingalls Wilder's book.

I was able to get the book from my library.

It's a great companion to the LIW series - it shows a slightly different perspective.

Hi Steph,

I will have to look for that. I am such a Laura Ingalls Wilder fan. I also have a book by Laura Ingalls Wilder called "A Family Collection", which is a collection of her articles written for the Missouri Ruralist, a farm paper. They are her writings from 1911 - 1918, miscellaneous thoughts, opinions, tips, and recipes (like an original "blog"). I have not read anything by Rose, and would like to read her writings, too.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole
