Hello! I'm in search of someone who knows how to crochet dish scrubbies :) In return I could sew something or make some hand-made cards...or if you have any ideas of something your searching for...

Joyce, I'm running a bit behind, I do have all the stuff now I just have to manage to sit down and crochet them. I'm hoping to get them out by the end of next week. Just wanted to let you know!

Did either of you know that Mary Jane has instructions for Rosebud Dish Scrubbies in her book Mary Jane's Stitching Room? The instructions are on page 87. They are made out of nylon netting and easy to make. Just thought I'd let you know.

I looked at those patterns. The bottom one with ruffles is similar to what I make and use for dish cloths. Someone gave me a small one and after looking it over I tried. Mine came out larger but I love them.

Tulle is by far the best material for these, Marie is right it does take a bit to strip the tulle and get it ready to use. These last so long though and a e super simple to make.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Hmm I'll have to look into that yarn, unfortunately I'm limited on what I can get for reasonable shipping and in reasonable time :/ but Amazon had tulle! I'm excited to try this! Joyce you may end up with quite a few if I get carried away lol.

There is a yarn called Sudsy from Willow which is being highly promoted for these types of projects. It is a combination of cotton and polyester. I haven't used it so I do not know how effective it is. I believe that tulle is the best. The only drawback for me is the time it takes to process the tulle into strips. Maybe I just do not do it correctly.

Yes probably tulle, honestly I don't know what I want in return lol. Anything would be fine. It will take me a week to get the tulle in and then give me a week to get them made and back in the mail. Does that sound ok? I may do some different patterns just to try them out :). Handmade cards would be great or just anything would be fine. I think I already have your address from the tea swap or Wildflower list....

Sabrina - they look adorable!!! I really don't mind what shape they are...I only have right now...and it's OLD! It is made out of something other than cotton as I use it to scrub and does quite well. Probably tulle as you mentioned? PM me what you'd like in return :)

Yes I can do it, I found patterns, looks pretty simple. What do you want them made out of? I saw kitchen cotton yarn or tulle and some other choices. Do you know? I think tulle would scrub better. Do you want them round only? I saw some other patterns that look cute....

here are a few: http://www.craftsy.com/blog/2014/11/crochet-scrubbie-patterns/

Let me know :)
