Happy Independence Day Mail Artists! It's time to sign up for July Mail Art

If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on that post if you want to participate and I will contact you.

FOR JULY, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to join in. Sign-up is available through July 15. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.

July is National Recreation and Parks month, so let's celebrate by making our theme "The Great Outdoors". As a challenge, add something sparkly to your creation. And as always, if the theme/challenge isn't right for you, feel free to make what your heart desires.

I will send an email with your partner to you on July 16. Please send your Mail Art before July 31.

I'd like to encourage everyone to post a comment on the current month's thread when you receive your mail art. And if you can, a picture is nice. A quick thanks lets your partner know you received your mail art.

A couple more things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.

Happy Swapping!

Kristi

A reminder near the end of the month for all wonderful sisters could also be good, a reminder to thank one another for a fantastic mail art swap :)
TexasGran Posted - Aug 30 2016 : 3:40:33 PM
I know it makes you get more email...but if everyone would SUBSCRIBE TO THE SWAP, they would be reminded of the swap they entered each time someone posts. Besides we have a bit of fun visiting and getting to know each other better.

My pkg was late getting out but also should have arrived some time ago. All I can figure is a lot of FGs don't check in here once they've signed up. I usually try to use Priority mail and get a tracking#. At least I can see if my pkgs traveled all the way to their given destinations. Now, whether or not the intended recipients actually get them is another story. If we aren't acknowledging one another here, then we will continue to be left in the dark I suppose.

OK girls, there are only four of us from Texas. I did not do the light house, Doris did not do the light house. That leaves Sherry and Jami. Who is our talented farm sister???
Our curious minds need to know. It is such nice work.

I'm kinda concerned about the lighthouse print. Is the sender the artist? If so, WOW and we need to acknowledge her!! Its beautiful.

Sara, I want to Thank you so much for the wonderful mail art that I received yesterday. I got a candle that smell of orange and cypress, it smells great. Makes me think of the forest and I got National park info and a pin. And some camping and fall stickers. Just makes you fell like camping in the fall. So ready for fall. Thank you again Sara what a wonderful package.

So glad you like your butterfly and cards, Doris. And glad to hear you are able to get back into yarn arts, especially since you have a cat. I had to take a several year break when I had my kitty as she would chew right through my yarn and ruin things!

That's a beautiful drawing of a lighthouse you received, Tamara.

Blessings to you on your life's journey.
