Posted - Jul 14 2016 : 4:19:26 PM Ok Chicklettes...Here's something new! Let's hear what you named your scare crow (I have a scare Deer). Mine was made out of pvc pipe, old greasey clothes and a plastic Halloween ghost face. Wish I had a picture to post right now. Mine is named "Bob, the gardener" and yes he was named for a man whose name is Bob Gardner, who is an acquaintance of my mother in laws (he doesn't know this). So what's your scare crow names?

Posted - Sep 03 2016 : 10:08:30 AM This is "Sadie". As you can see she has not face, but a hat over her face. She no longer exists but she was fun for a few years. This was taken 6 years ago with my daughter, Robin (on the left) CJ

Posted - Sep 01 2016 : 12:02:38 PM I don't have a real home-made scare crow but I put several small ones around my home for Fall Decor. It is fun hearing your stories and discovering that people name them. I want to see more!!! Love this idea.

Posted - Sep 01 2016 : 07:52:17 AM I don't have a scarecrow currently but I did have a scare-lady. Her name was "Sadie". If I can find her pic I'll post it but it'll be later today. She stood there for several years but finally started falling apart and I had to take her down. Sadly, she hasn't been replaced. CJ

Posted - Sep 01 2016 : 07:39:00 AM Our scarecrow's name is Henry. When we first made him, he sort of resembled Jeff Daniels in his plaid shirt, and long blond straw hair. Now he is many years older, and sports John Lennon glasses, a panama hat, and a faded denim shirt. It is really time to get him some new gear. (Except the glasses. Those stay!)

Posted - Jul 15 2016 : 2:53:04 PM I have three stuffed scarecrows that live in my home with me. I haven't named them ~ I just call them Baby. They're all boys so I guess I could name them but Baby works ~ I don't have to remember their names and keep straight whos who. The more I think about it Baby it'll be.
"Bob, the gardener" is a cute name. In the fall I usually have a large FarmGirl scarecrow on my front porch. Last year I named her "Nellie Bly". It's easier to name them when it' just one.

Posted - Jul 15 2016 : 1:50:35 PM I actually don't have a scarecrow, but I do want to make one one and now I have inspiration to give it a name! I love Bob the gardener - so cute! I do have a dress form named Lolita, does that count? :)
