I was thinking about making some pillow cases. figure that has to be pretty easy. How much material would I need for a queen size case?

Nancy, I did a blog post on the Hot dog pillow method and included a video that a colleague, Randa, did. No need for a serger, French seams all the way! You can view it here:

http://www.carolesquiltingetc.com/2016/02/pillow-fight-in-style.html

I use the following yardage:

3/4 for the pillow body
1/4 to 1/3 for the ends (1/4 yard words great)
1" for the trim (optional)

It makes a nice long pillow case. I like it when I don't see the pillow!

Be careful .... they are addictive!
