Hi all! Hubby is getting ready to have his retirement ceremony - and I honestly have no idea how these things happen... what is "etiquette"? Would it be alright to just have cake and punch afterwards? (The ceremony is at 1)

I've been to two- my dad's retirement was very casual, with hamburgers and kareoke. My husband's retirement was formal, in uniform, then we had a blowout at our favorite bar & grill later. Consider the personality of the retiree and your budget.

Most retirements I have been to have cake and punch so I think it is appropriate.

Farmgirl friends are fun.
