Hello Farmgirls! My first post on MJ's Farm was in January of 2007. My babies and I lived in VA, married to the military. I was doing what i could to grow as much of our food in raised beds in our backyard and support local farmers until we could get a farm of our own. Many years later, with teenagers and a wonderful new husband who shares my dream, we are in Texas on 33 acres with cattle, chickens, a large garden with plans of planting an orchard this Fall.

I'm happy to be back in this group of encouraging women!!!

Never give up on your farm dreams!!!!

Congratulations Eren, and I am so excited for you and hope to hear more as you start to develop your new farm! After living, working and raising children in the city, my dream is to start enjoying a quieter country life after retirement.

Eren, your post made me smile. How wonderful that you are finally living your dream. My husband and I are currently planning our move which will be in about 4-5 years. I dream about it everyday. I wish you all the happiness, Connie

I'm in east Texas, just about 100 miles south of Sara, and east of DFW by about 65 miles.

Welcome back Erne. Poolville is the home of Wilhite Seed Co. I have ordered from them through the years. I'm in Paris, TX northeast of you along the Red River.
