Sooo... today we actually had some lovely sunshine and mid 60's weather.... perfect for opening up my trailer to air out...

Later I spotted our lil pup out by my trailer,,, but my DH was no where in sight,,, so I looked at our pup and said, "Ginger, where is daddy?" she immediately bolted for my trailer and hopped in,,, I went after her and discovered hubby napping in my trailer...
Ah HA!,, Busted! caught him... now I know where to look the next time I can't find him in his workshop... lol!

Grace your glamping trailer is cute, but I think the lack of a refrigerator and heater may be considered roughing it! It sounds like everyone is ready for summer camping and I hope everyone can make it happen this year. I am hoping some day my husband and I will be doing the same after retirement. I say after retirement because I have a daughter who is traveling the world, gaining great employment opportunities, and insists we come out and visit her along the way. I know I will have to suffer through the travel (ha, ha), but it is hard work trying to find the best and cheapest deals to make it happen, and we will probably be roughing it by sleeping on her couch or floor. I can dream and hope that someday I too can enjoy a simpler life camping, hiking and enjoying nature and friends.

Gracie,
My glamper doesn't have a heater either, but we do have really nice, small electric heater if necessary and if we have hookups. It does have a fridge but it doesn't work so we just use it for storage of nonperishables.

I went out yesterday to see how many dead flies there were . . . swept out a bunch and hung a fly strip to catch any more. They like it in there in the spring where it's warmer.

Bonnie,,, I did learn a trick,,, for cold mornings,,, I slide one of those 'auto window sun deflectors' up against the wall,,, it does a pretty decent job of keeping the chill off me... and if I am camping where there is electrical hook-ups... I use a elect. mattress pad,,, it goes on the mattress but under the flannel sheets,,, just enough ambient warmth.... the hard part is when I have to get up and go 'tinkle' in the wee hours of the night,,, dang,,, it's cold!!!! lol!
My trailer does not have a heater nor refridge,,, I am truly old school,, and that is why I prefer to be a fair weather Glamper!! lol!

Gracie, you are so funny. We glamped once when it was 30. What a mistake. We awoke and our little trailer was covered in ice. Also, we forgot that the walls were cold. No insulation. I can wait until it's warmer.

Oh Cj,,, why do we have to live so far apart....
I was telling DH I am half tempted to sleep out in the Scotty the first night the temps are above 55....
I do openup my trailer during the day to let some fresh air circulate....
Oh Sigh..

I'm ready . . . but it's too cold here in our mountains, which is where we like to go. MY daughter and glamping partner is still teaching.
BUT we have reservations for a week in mid-June in one of our favorite campgrounds up the Dolores River in the mountains.
Doubt anything will happen before then. I don't have anyone else to go with and I don't want to go alone.
