I received cute tags today, one set from Brenda, so cute.. I love your precious long legged blue birds.
The other set was from Mary. Sweet sweet tags. I love the "ribbons" you used, so pretty and delicate. Thank you both.

Sounds like devotion, Bridge. You're right. We must have our priorities!!

Last Tornado day, I put my new quilt in the closet too... to put over our heads, of course. LOL.

That completely sounds like something I would do.

STILL LAUGHING!!!! I finally found my B & B tags that flew away!!

It seems when Texas was having all those tornados a few days ago ( and Canton was devistated). I packed my back pack with tuna salad packages, water, Meds, and TAGS! That's right!! I figured if the big storm came, I had to save my MJ Farm Girl Tags!!!

Oh Ladies, that's devotion! Guess they will visit the Post Office in the morning!!!

Too Practical Mary'. (Ya think I'd grab a family scrapbook or two???).

Yup, Marilyn. He always helps me find things-- guess He's enjoying me making tags. My mom used to say: "Your mind is like a sieve!" and "Out of sight out of mind."
I never understood what she meant until I was on my own managing my own affairs. Totally spot on, Mom. I always say I have the mind of a slug. I,used to be a snail, but I took my shell off and can't find it. I would blame it on old age, but it's been a life long problem. So, I spend 30 % of my time looking for stuff.
I try to think of it as " house walking" exercises.

Mary you are funny. I lost a set here a while back. I looked and looked. Finally I asked God to help me. Sure enough he reminded me of some bowls I had set on the buffet for my great neice. I had put the bag of cards in there for safe keeping.

Okay gang.. here is my sad story. And I'm sticking too it!
I finished the bird and butterfly tags... put them together in a clear plastic bag and planned a small message on the back. But that never happened.
I think they Flew Away!!!
I kid you not. I have been looking for them for 2 days. They are no where!!! Guess I should not have used that magic fairy dust on them instead of glitter.
-------So.... wherever they are currently hiding... still can't find them.........I will be starting a new set this evening. I will put little balls and chains on their little feet and not let them get away until they are safely in their envelopes. And... if the first set wings there way back, I will send them to you also.
So very sorry... Mary

Birds are butterflies hatched. The plan is to mail them Monday. So they will be winging their way shortly.;
Have a safe night- the Storms are still firing up out there.

The Hill Country is beautiful in spring time. I have an ex carpool friend who lives near Kerrville. Another family we know lives out of Fredericksburg. Have you also been to the Folk Art festival in that area. Seems it was in May. Then there is Octoberfest in Fredericksburg. I gave my mom and step father a birthday trip one year, before she got sick. Of course I went too. Our birthdays were one day apart.
Many adventures and memories of that beautiful area. Blue bonnets galore. I know you had a wonderful time.

Hi Marilyn... we go to the Texas Hill Country in April to the "Cowboy Capital of thevWorld" Bandera, TX.

It's a great little town north west of San Antonio. About 150 travel trailers ( most of them Casitas) descend on a camp bound for fun and frolic ( over 200 people).
We have pot lucks, barbecues, wonderful wild flowers, an occasional long horn in the back pasture, evening jams, crafts on Saturday, and most everything else.
We are close to Kerrville and Frerdicksburg, as well as the Wildseed Farm. My favorite camping trip.

Shannon Sara USED to help me until she hit 12 going on 16!!! Sad...so sad! Lol
Mary please don't worry. I had no idea of a mail date so we will just enjoy this swap at a leisurely pace! Hope camping was awesome!

Did you have a good camping trip Mary. Where did you camp? We used to go to Possum Kingdom several times a year. My husbands family loved to get together at the state park there.

Okay... butterfly tags just hatched from their cocoons tonight... there is a chance the birdies will hatch out tomorrow. Sorry I'm moving so slow.
Only been home a few days from camping.
