Hi there Farmgirls,
We're just about to celebrate our annual Farmgirl Jubilee  and I heard it told that it is the Year of the Rooster!
Thought it would be fun to have a Rooster/Hen/Chicken themed swap! Many of you own chickens and I know many others who like chicken themed decorations in their yards, homes, etc.
Here's the Scoop:
1. You would send a chicken themed item to your partner. Examples would be, decorator items, dishes, apron, kitchen/tea towels, napkins/tablecloth, collectibles, etc., etc.
2. Be as creative as you wish, but let's not spend lots of cash.

SIGNUPS will CLOSE ON FRIDAY, MAY 5th

If you get started on your swap now, you'll have plenty of time to mail out once you know who your partner is.

Hi Pam,
I received your most lovely package today. Loved the chicken bucket and pillow. The crocheted doily, dish cloths are beautiful. As I held them in my hands, they truly warmed my heart. I loved home made items, they just make a house a home and fuse my heart with warmth. Crocheted items always remind me of my mother. I have always loved post cards, they are so nostalgic, I save every single one in a special memory box. My most favorite item of all, was the picture of your "home place" where you grew up, the barn and your grandmothers peony... that was so very special to me and such a special thing to include. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you had the most lovely vacation! Happy Summer to you and I will be sending you a note in the mail. (( hugs )) from Central Oregon. Love, April

Not yet, but I know my sweet partner had vacation time arrive and had to scoot off to enjoy life with family. Family comes first. We've been busy here as my son has been healing from a broken leg and emergency surgery from 7 weeks ago, he just had surgery again yesterday morning. So, he and I were joking that we were going to take a loooong tropical vacation when he's all up and healed! He only asked for a little game time to be thrown in the mix! It most likely will only be in our dreams, but we can pretend! LOL! Happy vacationing -and- staycationing to all farmgirls this summer!

Marilyn, my sweet farmsister, I just received the beautiful patriotic bunting in the mail from you today. Sweetie, I LOVE IT!!!! For now I draped it over my computer screen to take a picture of it, but it will before day's end be draped across the top of my fireplace mantel right above the mini patriotic aprons. Mr Patriotic Rooster will be looking down on it with admiration.
After I get it all together, I will take a picture of the mantel and post.

I am SO happy everything arrived in good condition and that you liked it all Ginger! I had so much fun putting it all together for you. :) I am thrilled you like the boxes, the layers of decoupage took longer than I anticipated to dry, but they were worth the wait and I am glad like them.
