Hi Farmgirls,

It has been a very sad month. My husband's sweet cousin was diagnosed with lung cancer recently. She fought a hard, but rather short fight. She passed this Friday. We are still in disbelief. She never "looked" sick, and she seemed to be doing okay for awhile. She had gone in a coma over a month ago, but they drained her lungs and she seemed to get better and was sent home. It was a blessing, as her dear husband only wanted to be able to say goodbye.

She seemed to be stable, even attending a big anniversary party for my inlaws. Last Thursday, she went back to the hospital with pneumonia. She gave up. My husband was so sad to say goodbye. They grew up together and he is very, very close to her husband. They were married a month before we were 25 years ago. When she passed, we were the first to know, even though we are in the USA and they are in Denmark.

It seems unreal because she was the one who was always busy with kids on her lap, and the one who always took care of everyone else. In her photos she looked good. It broke my heart to hear her big, burly (think Hulk Hogan but a big Teddy Bear) cry on the phone that his beloved was dying. He never left her side.

Please keep her and her children in your prayers for a bit. They will bury her this week. Be thankful if you are near family. Because they are in Denmark, we didn't get to see them often enough.

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

So sorry for your loss, Nicole. May you and your family find some peace at this time. It's so sad how we can lose family so quickly. It makes me remember the importance of enjoying every moment I get with my family.

Thanks, everyone. We are thankful my hubby could speak to her by phone and say goodbye that Friday and then she slipped away two days later. Her hubby seems a little lost without her, as would I or my hubby. She reminded us to appreciate every day.

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

Sending prayers up for you and your family Nicole,

Take care.

Nicole, I am sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose someone. Keep your memories close and those you cherish closer. None of us know how long we have on this earth. Love and kindness means so much as we walk this earth. Good you have the good memories to sustain you through this sadness. In my prayers.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing,
