Posted - Sep 14 2017 : 06:14:06 AM I planted a variety of milkweed that does not spread in my front flower bed this summer. It became covered in monarch caterpillars! The other day I was pulling weeds and thinning my mint nearby when I "met" this beauty who had just come out of a cocoon. It's wings were still wet it seemed. It landed on me for a moment, rested in the mint for awhile, then took flight. So pretty!

Posted - Sep 15 2017 : 05:57:01 AM The agricultural center here in CT tagged some butterflies (how, I don't know. Must have been the size of a grain of sand!) They found a few of theirs migrated all the way down to Mexico! Amazing!!!
