SEE the new post for the 2018 swap. This one is from last year, 2017.

11/30/17: I sent emails to each of you with the names of your partners. I had titled the emails incorrectly . . my apologies . . . but check it anyway because that's where your partner names are! Thanks much!
CJ

11/26/17: Signups for this swap are now closed.
I will post partners in the next couple days . . . you can go ahead and get your tags made/finished!
Thanks for participating!
CJ

Hey Farmgirls,
This is a swap I hosted for few years and would like to host again for 2017.... a swap for CHRISTMAS TAGS! I hope you'll give it a "look-see" and join in the fun. I LOVE my tags from the past swaps and have been selfish with most of them, using them to decorate across the top of my windows with them at Christmas

It's time to sign up for the *CHRISTMAS TAG SWAP* for this year. Many of you participated in past years by making TWO tags using your own ideas, supplies and creativity.

The size I make are about 2 1/2 x 5 inches, but they can be any shape or size you like. Embellish them however you wish with ribbons, buttons, wire, etc., etc.

-They can be papercrafted, sewn, needlework of any kind, whatever medium you choose.
-They can be used as fancy "to/from" tags on packages, ornaments, bookmarks, etc. Your creativity can go wild!

WANNA "PLAY"? SIGNUP here by posting that you want to participate
BY THE WAY: This swap IS OPEN to farmgirls outside of the States! You're are most welcome to join in on the fun!

SIGNUPS CLOSE ON NOVEMBER 26th

- I will match up partners. You can have more than one partner, but if you DO want more than one, you need to indicate how many you want when you signup. Otherwise it'll be just one partner. Once signups are closed and partners posted, you would then contact each other for addresses.

- Make TWO tags to swap with your partner

- MAIL OUT DEADLINE: BY DECEMBER 7th

*IMPORTANT: Please be sure that you CAN follow through before you sign up. Everyone needs to participate EQUALLY.

Let's have some fun!!
CJ

You are so very welcome CJ! And thanks for hosting this fabulous swap! I love sharing and exchanging little piece of art works. It is so much fun and able to connect with others is inestimable.
I am also a huge fan of Old Santa! We don't have a lot here in Qc, mostly the ones within the first promotions of Coke...
I wish for all a fantastic 2018, filled with happy and joyful times!

Mary,
Thank you so much for your darling tags. The wreath on a front door was so clever and
even a small round brad for the door handle, so cute. The snowman tag was adorable and
the teas will be used on short order since we had a "White Christmas", colder than usual and
I will enjoy them. Always love seeing your creativity and I love your card making skills too.

Marilou, my grand daughter loved her Big Kick and the dies. My son (her dad) was amazed that those thin pieces of metal could cut such intricate shapes when rolled through the device.

Thanks Linda!
My only machine is the Big Shot and I wouldn't exchange it in a million years! I understand your partiality! :)

Deb and Mary, I will let you know when your tags arrive. Checked today, Friday and probably
won't get a chance to check again until after Christmas.

Marilou, your tags are beautiful. I've used my Cuttlebug for years but probably time to update
before much longer. I'll never give it up though cause it works so well and that was the first
machine that made me fall in love with card making so guess I'm partial to it...lol

I don't have a magnetic platform. In fact, I'm not quite sure what it is/does. I have the regular plastic ones (2) and some kind of rubber mat for the embossing folder. I have used them over and over and never needed to change. It works great!
You will see, she is going to use it for everything! From card to wrapping to place-mat! :)
TexasGran Posted - Dec 21 2017 : 8:32:28 PM
Do you have the magnetic platform , or what ever it is called? Hers does not have it included and I'm wondering if she can cut easily without it, or is it essential? You are sweet to offer, but she has three weeks off from school, so she will have a bit of time.

I'm sure she will! It is quite addictive! The only reason I stop is because my arm is sore after running my "sandwich" (die-paper-plate) over and over in the Big Shot! lol
I'm sure she will cut some doilies for you. If not, I will send some to you if you want! Just ask me :)
TexasGran Posted - Dec 21 2017 : 7:30:10 PM
I am giving my grand daughter a big kick and a bunch of cardstock and dies as her Christmas present. I hope she enjoys it. In fact I'm hoping she will cut some lace and doilies for me.

I only have a Big Shot but a lot of dies! I love intricate design and of course, doiley!
TexasGran Posted - Dec 21 2017 : 5:36:58 PM
Marilou I had wrapping duties this morning. Wow, it is time consuming. Did you use a cricut or a big shot and dies to cut the delicate lace doiley?
I love to make tags too!

Thanks! I love crafting! The word "neatness" don't even enter my dictionary! Not in my craftroom anyways!
... I should perhaps think about wrapping my gifts instead of doing tags... ... It isn't as enticing and fun though!

I kind of went overboard with tags... Seeing everyone's made me itching to craft some more. Here are some I just finished:

And wintery:
My craft table is a real mess! But it is so much fun!
Happy crafting time everyone!
