I decided to start off my Thanksgiving week making my Mama's favorite Pumpkin Bread. It is a yeast dough that has fresh pumpkin puree and some cinnamon. This bread is easy to make and the end product is a nice loaf that is delicious hot from the oven as well as toasted. Apple Butter is so good with this too! One really neat thing about making this recipe is using the recipe card that my Mom wrote and gave me decades ago. It was like visiting with Mom in the kitchen and remembering old memories of years past when I would often help her prepare the family Thanksgiving meal. Those tiny apples I found at the grocery store and they are sweet and crunchy too. Basically I think they are meant to be used as garnishes for turkey platters or roast pork. But I have been eating them as snacks!!
