Posted - Jan 08 2018 : 06:27:30 AM We adopted a new rescue fur-baby this winter. Our cat Mittens had been kinda sad since we lost our old kitty, Badger, a few years ago, and then last year her dog buddy, Bonnie. She is now happy with her new friend, Norman. He is a total mush pot and would love a cactus if it pet him, lol! He is a purring machine!
This is my daughter holding him like a baby. He loves to be held like that, so funny!
He’s such a pretty boy! Although, he was a bit naughty- he got the kitty treats and ate the whole bag! I am so glad our two kitties have bonded. Mittens is so happy now!

Posted - Jan 22 2018 : 05:54:09 AM Oh my goodness, he is a mush! Every night he sleeps on my daughter's bed (last night he got under the covers with her). Every morning he jumps up to me and snuggles while I drink coffee. He's settled into the sweetest routine! And I have never heard a cat purr so loudly.

Posted - Jan 10 2018 : 5:05:33 PM I am in love from a distance with Norman. LOL. I have a real weakness for yellow kitties. I also dream of a lap cat to takes naps with me, carry them around, and let me hold them all I want. Well instead I seem to collect the non loving, just look at me kitties. Which is ok, I consider them a work in progress, LOL. So congratulations to Norman and your family may you have many, many years of purring. Hugs Karla |

Posted - Jan 10 2018 : 1:42:40 PM Sara, we can only have indoor cats here, too.
Aren’t they cute little balls of fluff? Mittens always reminds me of Felix the cat. Her eyes are huge, like an owl’s.

Posted - Jan 08 2018 : 10:44:18 AM Beautiful kittys. Thanks for sharing. My mom has cats next door. We do not have any cats here at the Bliss Lodge. We bake for the markets and don't want any hair in the food we send out. If I need a fix I just go next door. I have chickens outside, in their coop.

Posted - Jan 08 2018 : 06:56:53 AM If I had a cat it would be a inside cat and Annie is a inside/outside dog so it would be hard to introduce them over weeks. I live in every room of my little house and Annie patrols all the doors and windows. But if the right cat/kitten comes along I may give it a try.

Posted - Jan 08 2018 : 06:35:15 AM Hi Sara!
We have taken several weeks to get Norman “introduced” completely to our dogs. Everyone knows who is part of the “pack” now, but if there was a stray cat in my yard, Odin would chase it, I am sure!

Posted - Jan 08 2018 : 06:33:21 AM Norman is a sweetie. Glad Mittens has a friend now.
I miss not having a cat but don't know how Annie would take to one. Her hair along her spine stands up on end every time she sees a stray cat on the sidewalk in front of my house.
