Finally a loaf of bread raised by my sourdough starter!!! And, it's delicious. So excited.

A wonderful pet to have and care for! these loaves look too delicious to eat---but silly me--of course they should be demolished. Going to keep baking. Thanks for all the encouragement.

Sylvia, your loaf is mouth-watering. I'm sure it was full of flavor! I agree with AuntJamelle, BUTTAH! I love the idea of a mother in every home:)

Here's one of my mother's last week just before I made four loaves of wild bread (I call this particular recipe my no-knead batter sandwich bread).

You can see all the activity (bubbles) as they rose (brushed with melted butter).

And yes, it's a lot like having a beloved pet or keeping house plants.

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Oh that just calls out to be slathered in BUTTAH!!! :) I've always wanted to try making sourdough! Was it difficult to make the starter? Or were you given one?
