Each month a new block (or more) will be posted and a new thread will begin for each new month. I hope many of you will join in and we will have a lot of new quilts to show off in 12 months or less.

You can join in at any time. We'd love to have you!
NOTE: Please be sure to "Subscribe" to this thread so you don't miss anything.

For the next 4 blocks. As always, you can do one, both, or none of them. Your choice. These blocks will be yours, so choose your fabrics and quilt away. Make table runners, quilts, wall hangings, or potholders with them - your choice.

I am way behind on this and have not made any blocks yet :(. I haven't seen pictures of anyone else's blocks this year so I thought we would use March as a catch-up month! I'm posting the links to the four blocks from January and February below. If we all get super motivated and need new blocks mid-month I will be happy to post new patterns then!

NOTE: All patterns come from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn.
Please read her terms and conditions of use here. http://www.quilterscache.com/TermsPage.html

February 2018 Blocks:

January 2018 Blocks:
http://www.quilterscache.com/P/PracticalOrchardBlock.html
http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FourPatchChainBlock.html

Please let me know if you would like to choose blocks from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn (www.quilterscache.com) website for future months, and send me the link(s). We try to have at least one simpler block and another sometimes more complicated.

Challenge yourself. As most of you know, quilt blocks are mostly squares and triangles. It is the way they are put together that makes a beautiful quilt.

Thank you for joining in.

Happy quilting for all!

I didn't do a new one for March because I didn't think most of us had finished the previous ones. I'm so far behind I haven't even posted for April. I have to run now but I'm going to try to post a "what are you quilting in April" thread then in May I will have new blocks to post! So sorry life took over!

LOL! That's a great idea, Chisty. I have given each of my 3 grandsons 2-3 quilts.

I'm going to join back in. I was in last yea :( r and got way behind. I've finally started organizing and cleaning my sewing room so there is hope for this year. I'm hoping to make quilts for each of my grandchildren, to have something to give them when they marry. I have 9 ages 2 - 18. I better get started.

Hi Sabrina! I would like to join in. It may take me a while but making my own quilt has been something I have wanted to do for a long time now. With an empty nest fast approaching I think I will have the time to invest in this project. My Great Grandmother and Grandmother along with Aunts and an Uncle were quilters. I have several quilts made for me by my Aunt, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. :-) I inherited a box of quilting patterns from my Grandmother that I am looking forward to digging in!
