May is the Farmgirl Jubilee Annual Celebration...
This years theme is Garden Pollinators...
So I created this banner to hang in my garden...

I hope the birdies, butterflies and bees like it...
and Garden Fairy too!

Here is my little pillow I made today for my porch and a great book I my daughter gave me on plants in the US that attract bees, hummingbirds, butterflies and moths.

Barb, when we lived in California I spotted 4 different types of hummers, I don't know what speices they were but one type we got was much small then the other types and it was a brownish green color.
Now that we are back in Eastern Washington,,, I have not seen any (except for the one that buzzed by me the other day) so I don't know for sure what type we have over here.

Hi Grace. How many different kinds of humming birds do you have? I have never got to see any but the ruby throated ones. I know there are different kinds out west.

Winnie, you will luv how the hummers luv your butterfly bush... We had one just out side our family room,, and hummers frolicked around it, oh and the hummers also liked my artichoke plant when it bloomed.
(when the chokes stay on the stalk they bloom a purple bristlie flower- like a Thistle),,,

Grace, this is a sweet garden flag that you created for the Jubilee!! Perfect!!

We put our Hummingbird feeder up on Thursday and within 15 minutes we had one come. It was the Ruby Throated Hummingbird and we only have one so far. We also planted lots of Pentas in the yard the past two weeks because the butterflies, bees and Humming birds all love them here in North Florida. They all got zapped this past January with a few heavy freezes and had to be replaced, but now they are starting to get lots of blooms and grow nicely. We also planted our first Butterfly bush in the back along the fence hoping to have a successful late Summer feeding station.

Barbara,, I find I have to re-fill the hummers feeder nearly everyday... so, I would make a pitcher full and keep it in the fridge and it wuld get mr through for 4 +/- days to re-fill the feeder.
Gotta Luv our Hummers...

Love your banner. I put my BEE HAPPY grapevine wreath---complete with stuffed bumble bee---out on a post by my walk. Our first humming birds came yesterday. I am so happy to see them. In July we will have about two dozen. It is a job to keep them fed. Happy May and Jubilee to you.
