I am getting ready to fly back to California again, but this time to take my mother out of the Stroke Rehab center,,, and bring her to my sister's home for the next 2 months,, and then mother will go to a assisted type living home.

I wish I could be with mother tomorrow for mothers Day,, but alas,, I will have to wait until next week.

I came across some old photos,, and wanted to share a photo of mother, my baby sister and myself...

Mother was always stylish,, and she sewed most of her's and our clothes. This was one of those rare occasions that sissy & I got matching store bought dresses.
1963, this was taken in Ft. Knox KY.
I wish I had our Ford station wagon to tow my vintage trailers with.

I have to laugh,,, my handbag is almost bigger then the one my mother was holding...probably one of her old ones...

In the second photo, that is me, I lived with my mother and Oma & Opa (grandparents in Heilbronn Germany.
My mother came to the USA and got her Citizenship in 1957...
Speaking very little English,, she was self taught, much due to watching and doing her ironing in front of a T.V.
She later loved (got addicted to) Soap Operas... I to this day can not tolerate Soaps! lol! And at 84 in spite of her stroke, she still likes to watch her Soaps...

Happy Mothers Day, dear mother.
