If anyone is interested in a Fall Smash Book swap, please sign up in email thread below.
You would create one smash book, decorated in fall/autumn theme, this would be a scrapbook type journal type notebook, where you would include several thicker pages, perhaps 15-20 to accommodate the fall season, decorate, add pockets, envelopes, tags, etc leaving enough blank space so your farmgirl friend who receives it has room to add notes, pictures, memories, tokens, etc to the pages by pasting or taping (smashing) her memories onto the pages!
One partner each.

I've received a few questions asking what is smash book, well, sorta difficult to describe, but basically a junk journal, scrapbook type of journal to keep thoughts, memories, pictures, postcards, memorbillia, recipes, fall to do's, fall outings, favorite memories, smells, food, holiday planning, anything your heart desires!! More blank pages than lined writing pages per se, but decorated for Fall with tucks, envelopes, pockets, etc to "SMASH" (paste, tape) your memories in! I've searched pinterest for various pictures of examples to share as follows:

Oh! I LOVE it. I love vintage, especially purses or totes & stationery. Your book is so beautiful. Even the hubby commented so & that my friend is to be taken as an honor. He doesn’t do it it often, lol.

Yay!!! I am SO happy you like it Maddie! I did make the tote, it is made from a vintage flat sheet. :) I thought the fabric was really pretty and I am so glad you like it. Welcome back!

Yes, that is what I like about both of them. The Fabri tac is able to hold much like hot glue but does not dry as quickly as hot glue...But my fingers are not burned or blistered either.

Art glitter glue is awesome but I personally love the fabritac for my journaling and paper art. A little goes a long way and holds well and wont crinkle up the paper! :)

I just got an email notifying me that May May has Art Glitter Glue back in stock. $12.98 for 8oz. They will not ship it if the temps where you live or where they ship from is lower than 40°. Seems like they are in the south...perhaps Alabama?????

Thanks!! I usually use the Elmers glue runners and they are pretty good but the hold is just not as strong as I would like for some things. And I use a lotof hot glue, but that is also not always the best option for paper crafting. Thanks for all these tips. :)

Scor Tape is a very good double stick tape. I use the quarter inch for lots of projects. You can find it at Blitsy, Wal mart and Amazon. A great glue that you can purchase at Wal-Mart is Fabri tac by Beacon. Then there is Art Glitter Glue! I love this stuff. Problem is I think everyone else must love it too because it is hard to find in stock. It cannot be mailed once temperatures fall below freezing.

store, and Blitsy.

Sarah - I thought about the adhesive more last night. I also used Aleene's Original Tacky Glue for some of the heavier items.

Thanks for that info Kristi! I thought you must have bound it yourself and commented to my hubby that I might need to get some sort of binding device having seen how lovely the book you made me came out. I am going to need the big tape hun for sure. Thanks again! :)

Me too. I had forgotten about white walls. I remember being asked, as an adult, purchasing new tires for my car, if I wanted the white wall side of the tires to show. So I guess somewhere through the years some company have us a choice.

Marilyn, when I was little the ONLY WAY mom and dad could get me to sleep was to drive me around in dad's old chevy pickup! Luckily I overcame that and can now drive happily and fully awake in our chevy truck!! lol! ( I love the white walls!)

Me too! I love old trucks. When I was a little kid my grandpa had an old blue truck. It was the farm truck, family vehicle, in autumn he mounted a big circular saw blade to the front bumper( bumpers were not fiberglass back then), then he rigged it up to the trucks engine so he could cut firewood...for the wood bookstore and the fireplace.
