Every year as a family tradition, we play a game at our family Christmas party. It's a silly game but very fun and loud. I buy a bunch of stupid, silly gifts and wrap them up. Everyone rolls a dice and there are 6 different rules that apply for each number on the dice. It takes a while to play as there is a lot of exchanging, stealing, and collecting the gift that you think you want. Everyone laughs and we have such a wonderful time playing this. We all look forward to it every year. What traditions do you all have?

I have played this same game and it is a lot of fun! We used to do it when I was working and we had a party off site. It is also a fun way to get to know your work colleagues in a different situation.

everyone waits till the end of the game to open the gifts. If a person steals a gift, they give theirs to the person who they took the gift from. We all get to toss the dice about 3 times. When we start the game, we all draw a number and we each pick the gift with our number on it. Once you start the game it is just so much fun.

Lori!! How fun!!! For almost 15 years, any family members that wanted to went to see A Chiristmad Carol community theatre. Holly was active in that in high school. We saw some amazing performances! Connie

Sounds like fun. I think everyone would like that.

I have a few questions:
- Do they open the gifts right away or only at the end?
- When they steal a gift do they also keep the one they have, if any?
- Does each person only throw the dice once?
- So how does the game end?

Here is more information on the game that we play every year for Christmas. I but a bunch of cheap gag gifts and wrap them up. Everyone picks a gift. We have one dice that is used. If they roll a
1: Keep the gift
2: Steal anyone's gift
3: Everyone pass their gift to the left
4: everyone pass their gift to the right
5: Keep the gift
6: Steal anyone's gift
I buy a piece of poster board and decorate it. I write the rules on the posterboard and that way everyone can see them.

Use a dice and each person will get a chance to roll.

I'm sorry about that. Here's the rules.
If a person rolls a one they keep their gift.
2: They steal anyone's gift
3: everyone pass their gift to the left
4: everyone pass their gift to the right
5 keep your gift
6: Steal anyone's gift
This game is so fun and everyone gets to laughing. I just buy cheap little gag gifts and it is a blast.

The only tradition I can remember from days past is getting another small something in our stocking on New Years Eve - from the New Years Fairy. My mother was the one who always reminded us to put our stocking out again on New Years Eve. I don't know if she made this up or heard it from someone else.
