What UP? Was Christmas good? Mine was because I picked out all my own gifts and paid for them before Hubby got hurt and we got on half pay disability. LOL and being silly---he got things too. It was a small greedfest this year. A holler girl hard candy Dolly Parton hillbilly Christmas. Life is Good. Our pug made our Christmas---thought all gifts were for her and we hid treats in each bow so she could help open them. It was so funny---like a fat furry child. She's back there this morning looking through the wrapping papers so I hid more treats in them.

Happy travels and happy holiday Grace, your trip sounds wonderful and so familiar. My parents have a place in Tehachapi (about an hour outside Palmdale/Lancaster area), family friends live in Indio (Palm Spring/Palm Dessert area) and my daughter lives outside the Phoenix area. If you like to explore antique shops check out Merchant Square Antique Market in Chandler (1509 N Arizona Ave., Chandler, AZ 85225). It is a fun place to walk around.

Oh Lori, the hubby and I found a huge junk/second hand store... an old converted garage type building packed to the rafters...
Lots of stuff.. but dang, the prices were equally high!
I found a few things but when I saw the prices... I just carefully put them back on the shelf... even I can be a tight wade! Lol!

Rock on Grace. I'd live on that land or sell it. Taxes don't do much for me. You have such a good life and go for the gold. We all love you---keep posting and let us know what you're up to. I just hope to be able to crawl up out of here and get my mail. Life do get tedious.

HG, you are a Hoot!
Presscott is a old town with mild temps, it is a tourist destination for sure.
My aunt and uncle live there.
It is near SO.California,,, as for the land I own it is north AZ., between Phoenix and Flagstaff. I have not seen the land since 1969.I inherited it as well as land in Ocala FL. I am 'land rich ' and Tax poor! Lololol!

Grace is Prescot near Phoenix? I spent a week there in the 70;s in Mesa. Have a postcard that says Mesa Arizona---two miles from water ad two feet from hell. I hated it and got wrinkles at the age of 19. Pumping out the ground water to those cities is so wrong. Rock on Grace and Arizona is beautiful---but way more redneck than West by God Virginia---except for Boone County---LOL and have great fun I truly loved ARizona. I just remembered---I think Prescot is a place for rich people---think I visited there---but I was such an old holler girl hippie that I hated it. Being silly of course. LOL. Love the west but stuck in my holler forever. So I have to love it!

Grace if you have never seen Multnomah Falls you need too!! Spectacular! And there are many falls along the Old Highway from there too.
They are worried about slides though with all this rain we are getting this week!!

Enjoy your trip but take it slow and steady!

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

Grace---your husband sounds like my friends hubby. When I used to go places with them years ago the kids, my friend and I would all yell YARD SALE! And he would laugh and speed up and keep on going. But remember sometimes the fun of a trip is the little stops along the way. You are so lucky to be going home for Christmas. I can't even imagine that. I am home for Christmas and we are installing a new gas log fireplace. Now we won't freeze in the next power outage. Have lots of fun.
