Hello Farmgirls!

*******************************************************************
*** PARTNERS POSTED! ***
***************************

Hi Ladies, partners posted below, please reach out to your partner for mailing address and please post pictures of your swapped vintage book junk journal - can't wait to see everyones creations! Mail out date is no later than June 7th!!

Mburns -and- Ladypony
DirtDuchess -and- Marlee
TexasGran -and- Krissel
Dreamer42 -and- Debi Carr

XOXO!

*******************************************************************

If you're interested in creating and swapping a junk journal made from an altered vintage book, please sign up! I found lovely vintage books at a local thrift shop for $2.00 ea!

Please create something as beautiful as you would love to receive. You may alter this vintage book anyway you can imagine to create a beautiful junk journal which would include places to journal and the ability to add photos, memorbilia, etc. Please feel free to add buttons, lace, fabric, ribbon, tags, stickers, and any other medium you can image to beautify! Please keep in mind, the pages may be brittle due to the vintage age, however, I found if you glue 3-4 pages together to create one thicker page, this works well! I also tore out every other signature to create space to add pretties!

Sign up through May 24th.

Mail out by June 7th.

I will draw random names on the 24th and each farmgirl will have one partner to send to!

(If you sign up and then are unable to follow through for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible before the mail out date)

Thanks!!

Patsy I have to make a mention that I just love the red bag you sent me. I called it an apron and forgot to change it when I posted the pic and thank you. So I just want you to know. Already got stuff in it. A book, paper, pens. Tissue, a sewing kit, some band aids. It will be going in my car. Thank you again Patsy.

Have you watched any of the Australian girls? It is amazing to me how much lace, crochet, etc they use. I had a pretty good collection until my grand daughters asked to see it one Sunday after lunch. They were afraid it would be tossed out after I died, I was going through chemo. Well I'm still here ten years later. I have found some that they did not know I had.

Oh, Marilyn, you are far too kind - I'm hardly the master junk journal maker, I'm still learning with each one and am deeply inspired by each one posted here in this forum made by all of you! I've just recently started watching youtube for journal making as well, that's rather addicting! I am so happy you liked the Autumn smash book I created for you last fall, although filling the pages only makes one even more beautiful! I loved that you shared your loves and passions above with all of us - I find many times my boys turn on the tv only to leave the room - ugh! I despise the back ground noise and will change it to a music channel or even turn it off! Quiet & stillness soothe my soul so much! Although... I have a perfect vision of your old TV with the green line through it and honestly... it warms my heart with nostalgia! Have a lovely evening!!

One of my favorite things to do is watch you tube videos. Gardening, homesteading, forraging, making embellishments and junk journaling! My tv is old, has a green stripe down the left hand side of the screen and has been turned on once this year.

April you are the master junk journal maker. Even though I journaled in the Autumn smash book that you made last fall, it is still so pretty. It is in the bedroom right now, but in a month or so I will put it on display in my living room once more. I love, love, love it. Thank you again.

Hi Marilyn, Debi attached a ribbon on random pages, just on the edge horizontally leaving the ribbons to dangle off that way! Was so pretty and creative, I've not see that before and love it! I'll try and post a picture tomorrow!

Debbie, I'm sure you can make one, just the way you like it. If you go on you tube and type in junk journals...wow! There are so many ideas. I tend to over load mine, mainly because I did not understand. But the other day I watched a young lady who said five or six pages per signature is all you need...because five pages is actually 20 pages if you have folded your paper in half...Then count front and back. She also said three signatures is probably enough. Also leave space between your signatures, as if you might want to add another later on... But you need that space because your book will grow fat and fatter as you put photos and memorabilia in it.I
I've decided there are no hard and fast rules. Enjoy yourself!

Oh I just love all photos of your junk journals and how you do your pages etc. I have never made one, but I am starting one for myself to see if I can do it and I have all the support I need. If I can and I think it is up to the standards of all of yours I will join the swap one day.
Heck I am just getting comfortable making ATC:-)
Thank you Farmgirls for sharing you journals the are all beautiful!
